Starting Your Toxic Day…


We are starting to pay attention more and more to what we are eating. However, it seems that what we put on our skin is falling short of the awareness wagon.

Think about it.

Here you just got out of bed and are in need of a shower. What do you reach for but Ammonia, Formaldehyde and Phenol. No! you say, it’s just body soap.

You next reach for shampoo laden with Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and rinse with Propylene Glycol for shine and smoothness. Next comes a dollop of shaving cream which contains A-Pinene which after your shower you will spread on an even coat of hydrocarbons and asbestos for moisture.

To stay dry, you grab the scented Aluminum for your underarms and brush your teeth with Saccarin, fluoride and FD& C Blue #1.

Your bad breath will be extinguished with Ethanol and Phenol Alochol. Nearly there!

You must now add polyvinylpyrrolidine gel to set your hair and do your makeup.

So you slap on acid, Dioxin and Propylene Glycol to reduce fine lines, add FD&C Red #3 as a foundation, a little Iron Oxide on the eyes, brush Bacteria and Polyvinylpyrrolide to your lashes. All gets topped with a dab of Benzo-a-Pyrene and Benzo-B-Fluroanthene for lip color.

Last but not least, you won’t forgo just that little bit of scent, Toluene and Benzaldehyde and the famous sunblock cream full of carnicogenic Nitrosamine to protect against sun damage.

Think that none of these poisons are getting absorbed? Think again.

Ever smelt your hands after handling garlic cloves after only a few minutes?

To continue on with this scenario would be senseless. Everything you are using is toxic and your skin is absorbing it. The only way around this is to buy products free of these ingredients.

This means paying more. Not everyone is ready to do that because like the ostrich with its head in the sand, out of sight out of mind.

But simply put, you can use simple ingredients like baking soda and salt to brush your teeth, honey on your face as a facial, epson salt in the bath for relaxation and much much more.

But there is no substitute for cleansing in these here times. Don’t wait for the doctor to diagnose a possible illness when proactive action today can save your life tomorrow.

Would Your Doctor Take This Acid Reflux Medication?


So you have acid reflux really bad. Your gut is just burning, so much so that a regular antacid gives only short term relief. You buy Zantac or Pepsid AC or you see your doctor who prescribes Prolosec or Nexxium.

Wrong! All of these drugs raise your risk of pneumonia and increase your risk of osteoporosis. Weren’t you told about this?

Not surprising!

The problem with all of these medications is that they are designed to reduce stomach acid but in actuality in almost every case it’s lack of stomach acid not overproduction that is the cause of your problem in the first place.

Dr. Jonathan Wright has done extensive clinical studies which have shown that 95 percent of all heartburn cases are actually due to stomach acid being too low.

To distinguish whether it’s a lack or overproduction, you can get your stomach acid level checked through a simple and precise test, which will tell you if your level is too high or too low.

So what happens if you have low stomach acid and take acid blockers like Zantac and Pepsid AC?

It gets worse!

The answer is really in restoring your natural gastric balance and function either through nutrition or taking some extra hydrochloric acid with your meals. Any good health food store will be able to steer you to the right product.

Who knew the answer to this problem could be so simple.

Well, you can rest assured that the pharmaceutical companies are very aware that the fire in your gut is feeding the fire in their bank account.

Would Your Doctor Take This Diabetes Drug?..


Would your doctor take Avandia for diabetes? I doubt it, especially since it could cause a heart attack.

A study found that people who took Avandia for at least a year increased their risk of heart failure or a heart attack by 109 percent and 42 percent, respectively. These numbers are alarming.

Thankfully this knowledge has lessened its use but simply switching to metformin may not be the answer either. Metformin is a drug that makes your body’s tissues more sensitive to insulin and it’s the drug of choice for type 2 diabetes.

This is unfortunate because type 2 diabetes is 100% avoidable and can be treated primarily through proper diet and exercise.

Type 2 diabetes stems from an insulin problem where leptin signaling is working as it should. Therefore, diabetes can be controlled by recovering your insulin and leptin sensitivities.

Sources like thi blog which is completely dedicated to weight related problems and cleansing can be a source of help for those that wish to normalize their weight and treat diabetes naturally.

Start by following these simple guidelines:

  • Cut out or severely limit sugar and grains in your diet. Determining your body metabolic type is also important since you need to know whether you burn carbs or proteins best. Therefore, along with reducing grains and sugars, determining your nutritional type will give you some insight into what foods you should use to replace the grains and sugars.
  • Exercise regularly. You cannot get away from it. Exercise increases the sensitivity of your insulin receptors, causing the insulin already present to work much more effectively, so your body doesn’t need to produce as much.
  • Avoid trans fats. Today we are much more aware of trans fat dangers and many companies are removing it from their products. However these products are all processed and don’t need to be in your cupboard.
  • Get plenty of omega-3 fats
  • Get a good night’s sleep every night and natural adaptogens can really help in this area.
  • Look to EFT for eliminating or dealing with emotional issues that lead to eating the wrong kind of food. EFT is easy to learn and quite effective. You can see the technique here.

Taking your life back can be hard work but aren’t you worth it?

Would Your Doctor Takes This Asthma Drug?..


There are certain toxic drugs that doctors may readily prescribe for conditions such as asthma, diabetes and acid reflux in the hopes that the condition would improve.

But if asked whether they would prescribe these drugs for themselves, that could be an entirely different story altogether.

Take asthma for example. A doctor might prescribe Advair. But it’s asthma medicine that makes your asthmas deadly since it contains slameterol which was found that after regular use increases the severity of an attack.

Researchers estimate as many as 5000 deaths per year in the U.S. alone are caused by Advair.

Would your doctor take it? I doubt it!

There are much better strategies one can do to help asthma problems which are non-toxic and have no side-effects.

Have you ever considered that increasing allergies and asthma are partly due to environmental factors?

How so?

Think about it, we have anti-bacterial soap, vaccinations and over-use of antibiotics playing havoc with our immune system, never giving it a rest from trying to protect us from invaders.

Other reasons also include toxins that we are exposed to on a daily basis such as pesticides, heavy metals and solvents and not to mention the biggest toxin of all, STRESS!

If Advair is not recommended then you might be thinking of using corticosteroids in a puffer. The New England Journal of Medicine informs us that people who inhale corticosteroid drugs are at increased risk for developing cataracts.

Lovely!

So your asthma may get better but in the long run you won’t be able to find your puffer. Just what the doctor ordered.

According to that study, cataracts affecting the central area of the lens were seen 50 percent more in people who used inhaled corticosteroids compared with people who never used the drugs.

Even more alarming is the fact that cataracts affecting the back surface of the lens were 90 percent more prevalent among steroid users.

How can use of this drug be justified? I always say “follow the money”.

Now instead of relying on asthma and allergy drugs that hurt you, here are some very easy things you can do to help an asthma condition:

  • Apples and selenium – Research has found that eating at least two apples per week can reduce your asthma risk by 22 to 32 percent. Now doesn’t that sound more pleasant than sucking steroids?
  • And, people with the highest intakes of selenium ( 54 to 90 micrograms a day) have been found to be about half as likely to have asthma as those who consumed the least amount of selenium (about 23 to 30 micrograms daily)
  • Vitamin E – Free radicals are oxidants that depress the immune system which asthma sufferers have more of. So antioxidants such as vitamin E may reduce the likelihood of asthma by reducing levels of these compounds.
  • Healthy exposure to bacteria and viruses – With the introduction of vaccines, our bodies stopped making its own natural vaccine against bacteria and viruses.
  • Instead, we have let ourselves be misled into believing that vaccines can do the job our body cannot. Now the horrors of vaccination toxicity are starting to hit some smaller publications but still repressed from national news.
  • Breast feeding — Finally breast feeding is once again finding its feet as research has found that introducing milk other than breast milk to infants younger than 4 months old increases their risk of developing asthma
  • Avoid antibiotics – Anti means against and “bio” means life. So antibiotics kill all life. How much clearer can that word be? Very often the head congestion can be attributed to no microbes in the gut.
  • Scientists have shown that antibiotics can change the balance of microbes in your gastrointestinal tract, which in turn has an impact on the way your immune system responds to common allergens in your lungs. It’s so easy to add a good probiotic to your diet. Why don’t doctors recommend them along with antibiotics? Maybe they don’t know???
  • Avoid fish but take Omega-3 – We are told to eat fish in order to get our Omega-3, but today’s fish, unless your source is pristine, will be most likely contaminated with mercury. Heavy metal contamination is known to increase asthma incidents. A good quality, metal free supplement may be your better choice.
  • Address Underlying emotions. Emotions are not often thought of as being a cause for any disease, let alone asthma, but there are a number of good case studies documenting the effectiveness of EFT for asthma. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique which is a series of tapping procedures upon specific meridian points of the body and can be very effective in many health areas, even de-programming the brain from pre-conceived ideas.
  • Last but certainly not least, a high quality air purifier could be the “i” that needs dotting to round out your asthma fighting arsenal.

Sunscreen Toxicity Not A Myth!…


Ever been told that getting too much sun is bad for you?

Ever been told that sunscreen is a must or you’re going to get cancer?

I’m sure you that to protect yourself from sun damage you just slather yourself with sunscreen. Right?

If you do, please recognize that it’s not exactly a foolproof solution against skin cancer and that the toxic overload to your body may just be the catalyst that will trigger cancer cells to grow.

Keep reading to discover how your sunscreen can present its own set of health issues.

You might be thinking that this is a great preventative but consider these next facts first.

All that propaganda about sunlight being harmful has been blown out of proportion. This is thanks to many doctors, health officials, advertisements, beauty experts, corporations, and well-meaning friends. You are basically being told to stay out of the sun because the sun will kill you.

Sorry to tell you this but that is simply not true. For starters, there is little scientific evidence behind that reasoning and avoiding the sun just doesn’t make sense.

In fact, the sun is healthy for you. Think about it. How could it be any other way?

After all, didn’t your ancestors survive outdoors toiling under the sun’s rays far more often than they were indoors and out of the sun?

You might be ready for this next question now.

How can it possibly end up that our body is made in such a way that the sun is now a deadly threat to us?

Again, it just isn’t true!

But this is not to say that sunlight can’t be harmful. Of course, it can be…

For instance, long-term, excessive exposure to sunlight can increase the risk of certain types of skin cancer. Yet moderate sun exposure is less dangerous than sporadic sun exposure.

Moreover, a great deal of evidence now exists that says sun exposure without sunburn can significantly lowers the risk of melanoma (a more deadly form of skin cancer.)

So what’s the key? Well, safe exposure for one.

Because the good guy, UVB, helps your skin produce vitamin D, you want to make the most of when to get some of these rays.

Early morning and later evening rays may be what you are considering would be safe exposure.

Actually this is wrong.

You see, UVB is at its lowest in the morning and evening and high at midday.

So, if you’re out early in the morning or late in the day, you get lots of UVA (bad guy) and not much UVB (good guy), not a good way to produce vitamin D.  And if that’s your only intake of sun then you increase your risk of cancer.

As you may know, wearing a sunscreen on your uncovered skin blocks your body’s production of vitamin D.

In fact, sunscreens reduce vitamin D production by as much as 97.5 to 99.9%. And interfering with your body’s production of vitamin D by 97.5 to 99.9% may have dire health consequences.

Sunscreens can also be toxic and unknowingly you are increasing your toxic load by slathering it on.

In my book, it’s best not to wear any at all. Why? Because as soon as the sun’s ultraviolet rays strike your skin, your body is programmed to do something remarkable. It starts producing its own natural vitamin D.

This vitamin D is really D3 which is the precise form your body needs for the proper functioning of your organs and cells and you will not overdose from it ever, unlike oral supplementation.

So, it’s no sunscreen for me and occasional cleansing to make sure that other toxins don’t contribute to any nasties developing in my body!
